Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy offers a gentle, body-centred approach to healing, recognising that our experiences are held not only in the mind, but within the nervous system and the body itself. Many people understand what they have been through, yet still feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, tension, emotional overwhelm or disconnection. Somatic therapy works at this deeper level, supporting the body to feel safe enough to soften, process and restore a sense of balance.

My approach is grounded, compassionate and responsive to the individual. I work with the understanding that healing is not something to be forced or rushed. Instead, meaningful change happens when the nervous system is met with patience, respect and curiosity. I offer a calm, supportive space where we move at a pace that feels right for you, allowing the body’s innate wisdom to guide the process.

Singing Bowl Usage

I use a bespoke blend of somatic therapy with yin yoga, yoga nidra, breathwork, sound bowls and reiki, carefully tailored to your needs. Yin yoga supports the release of long-held physical and emotional tension, encouraging a greater sense of grounding and ease. Yoga nidra offers a state of deep rest, where the nervous system can settle and integrate in a way that is both restorative and safe. Breathwork is used gently, helping to regulate internal rhythms and bring awareness back to the present moment.

Forest Pathway View

Sound healing with bowls provides subtle vibrational support, which many people experience as calming and stabilising. Reiki offers a quiet, non-invasive layer of energetic holding, supporting a sense of safety and being deeply cared for. These practices are not used as techniques to “fix” or push for release, but as supportive tools that invite the body to feel held, resourced and supported.

This integrative approach can be particularly helpful for anxiety, panic, chronic stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from the body. It can also be supportive during periods of transition, grief, burnout or personal growth, when gentleness and nervous-system awareness are especially important.

No previous experience with yoga or somatic work is needed. Sessions are adapted to meet you exactly where you are, with choice and consent at the centre of the work. Some sessions may feel deeply restful, while others may bring emotional insight or subtle shifts in awareness. The intention is always safety, integration and self-compassion.

Over time, somatic therapy can help you develop a more trusting relationship with your body, strengthen nervous system resilience, and feel more present and grounded in your life. Rather than working against yourself, this work invites you to listen, respond and return to a sense of inner steadiness and ease.
